Environmental Manager Job Description

Titan America is seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to join our team in Norfolk, VA. As a key member of our Mid Atlantic Ready Mix division, you will be responsible for providing technical and engineering support in environmental matters at all facilities within the division.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and oversee environmental programs to ensure regulatory compliance and minimize environmental impact.
  • Obtain and negotiate environmental permits, develop and implement environmental management plans, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Investigate and resolve environmental compliance issues, communicate with regulatory agencies, and provide engineering support for facility changes and new construction.
  • Train employees on environmental regulations and company policies, and maintain a high level of knowledge of environmental laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement environmental improvement programs to promote increased environmental performance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field, and 10 years of experience in heavy industrial settings, with 5-7 years of management experience.
  • Knowledge of air quality and water standards, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Experience managing environmental programs, including working knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations.
