**Family Support Specialist Opportunity**

Brightpoint, formerly known as Children's Home & Aid, is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Family Support Specialist to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a Family Support Specialist, you will provide comprehensive, long-term home-visiting services to high-risk first-time parents and families with young children, birth through 5 years of age.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Meet regularly with families in their homes to complete assessments, develop goals, and provide services aligned with the strengths and needs of the child and family.
  • Provide observations of parent-child interactions, including assessing for effective communication and empathic responses, and engage parents in reflective dialogue on the developing parent-child relationship.
  • Assist parents in forming community connections aligned with service goals, including referral and linkage with providers of early intervention, mental health, health care, and other supportive services.

**Requirements:**

  • Associates Degree in Social Work, Child Development, or a closely related field; Bachelors Degree preferred in Social Work, Child Development, or closely related field required.
  • One year of experience working with families with children under the age of 5 required.
  • Adept at communicating effectively both in writing and verbally. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a required.
