POSITION OVERVIEW

The role of the Mechanic involves the maintenance and repair of gas-powered equipment, ensuring all tasks are executed efficiently and in accordance with company standards.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducting repairs on various equipment as necessary.
  • Assembling new machinery upon arrival.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the workshop and showroom.
  • Assisting customers with loading and unloading equipment.
  • Supporting logistics with picking, shipping, and receiving tasks.
  • Performing cleaning duties as required.
  • Alerting the Branch Lead regarding inventory shortages or excess.
  • Executing service calls at client locations as needed.
  • Operating forklifts safely.
  • Driving company vehicles for deliveries or pickups as required.
  • Carrying out additional tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A high school diploma or GED is required, along with three years of relevant experience or training.

Experience should encompass small engine repair, pneumatic systems, power tool maintenance, and a foundational understanding of electrical and electronic systems. Welding skills are essential.


LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY

Ability to read and understand basic instructions, brief correspondence, and memos. Capable of writing simple messages.

Effective communication skills in one-on-one and small group settings with customers and colleagues are necessary. Spanish language skills are advantageous but not mandatory.


MATHEMATICAL ABILITY

Proficiency in basic arithmetic operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with numbers in the tens and hundreds. Ability to perform these calculations using units of American currency and measurements of weight, volume, and distance.

Must possess the ability to operate a forklift, hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and provide personal tools for use on the job.
