Key Responsibilities:


Formulate targeted account strategies and specific sales plans to achieve sales targets, utilizing outbound sales techniques and responding effectively.


Prospecting and Lead Generation:
Proactively identify and analyze potential clients across academic, pharmaceutical, and biotech sectors.

Engage in active outbound prospecting efforts, including cold outreach, email campaigns, trade shows, and regional events.

Assess leads based on their requirements, budget, and decision-making authority.

Sales Pipeline Management and Forecasting:
Establish and maintain a comprehensive sales pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities.

Closely manage opportunities to provide accurate forecasting updates and deliver insightful revenue projections.

Foster relationships through consistent follow-ups and engagement.

Utilize CRM tools and defined sales processes to prioritize opportunities, ensuring efficient sales cycles.

Implement effective sales strategies to close deals, achieve or surpass sales goals, and drive revenue growth within designated accounts.

Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with clients to secure mutually beneficial agreements and optimal outcomes for all parties involved.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in life sciences is preferred.

3+ years of experience in quota-carrying outside sales roles.

Experience in capital sales within the research and tools market, focusing on proteomics and DNA sequencing.

Established relationships within pharmaceutical, biotech, and academic research organizations are advantageous.

Proven history of lead generation and successful prospecting, with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.

A strong desire to secure business and build long-term client relationships.

A confident, energetic 'Hunter' mentality.

Highly adaptable and self-sufficient.

Thrives in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving company environment, demonstrating positivity and flexibility.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with proficient computer skills.

Proactive approach with a strong growth mindset.

Familiarity with Miller Heiman Strategic and Conceptual selling methodologies.

Ability to travel efficiently and maximize productivity during business trips.

Travel Requirements:
60-80%

Work is conducted proactively with minimal supervision. Capable of independently devising solutions to complex challenges while achieving objectives.

Preferred Skills and Experience:
5+ years of experience in quota-carrying outside sales roles.

Graduate degree in life sciences is strongly preferred.

Location preference for candidates is New York.
