Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repair, installation, adjustment, and upkeep of machinery, equipment, and facility systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the operational efficiency of machinery and facility systems.
  • Repair machinery and equipment using various tools and instruments.
  • Assemble, install, or repair electrical components, plumbing, and machinery.
  • Diagnose malfunctions through observation and testing.
  • Maintain and lubricate machinery components.
  • Document parts used and requisition new materials as needed.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the production manager or supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Education/Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent, with 1-2 years of industrial repair and maintenance experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in maintenance management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Knowledge Areas: Understanding of production processes, mechanical systems, electrical systems, and safety protocols.
  • Skills: Equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, critical thinking, and effective communication.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in a safety-sensitive environment.
