Department Overview
The Territory Sales Specialist is tasked with promoting and selling Motorola Solutions' offerings by achieving sales targets for a designated portfolio of accounts as determined by Field Sales Management. This role involves a strong focus on phone-based sales and various revenue-generating activities, including outbound calling, lead generation, and promotional campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively seek new business opportunities through cold calling and email outreach.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the technology and organizational structure within the assigned territory.
- Proactively identify and qualify potential clients through various outreach methods and participation in relevant industry events.
- Attend meetings, conferences, and technology forums as directed by the sales team.
- Familiarize yourself with government procurement processes, including State Term Schedules and Request for Proposals (RFPs).
- Stay informed about industry trends pertinent to targeted markets.
- Demonstrate a solid technical understanding of Motorola's products and effectively communicate their value proposition.
Additional Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong phone presence with excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Resilient and capable of handling objections effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.
- A degree in business or marketing is preferred.
