Executive Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Faro Blanco Resort & Yacht Club in Marathon, Florida. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen operations and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and service.
Key Responsibilities- Food Production and Quality Control: Plan, prepare, and execute menu items and specials in accordance with standards and plating guide specifications.
- Team Leadership and Development: Direct, train, and monitor the performance of kitchen staff to ensure seamless operations and high-quality service.
- Inventory Management and Cost Control: Maintain accurate inventory levels, manage food costs, and implement cost-saving initiatives to optimize profitability.
- Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with state sanitation and health regulations, as well as hotel requirements, to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Guest Satisfaction: Handle guest complaints and feedback to ensure exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
- Experience: Minimum of three years of experience as a line cook, with prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to ensure understanding and collaboration.
- Education and Certifications: High school graduate or equivalent, certification of culinary training preferred, and safe food handling certificate required.
- Language Skills: Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
