We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Faro Blanco Resort & Yacht Club in Marathon, Florida. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of menu items and specials in our designated outlets.
Key Responsibilities- Food Production: Plan, prepare, and provide quality service in all areas of food production, ensuring that menu items and specials meet our high standards and plating guide specifications.
- Team Leadership: Direct, train, and monitor the performance of kitchen staff, maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
- Workplace Maintenance: Maintain organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of work areas and equipment, adhering to our strict health and safety protocols.
- Guest Satisfaction: Handle guest complaints in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring guest satisfaction and loyalty.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by management, contributing to the overall success of our culinary team.
- Experience: Minimum of three years of experience as a line cook, with prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Communication: Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
- Education: High school graduate or equivalent, certification of culinary training preferred.
- Certifications: Safe food handling certificate.
- Language: Ability to read and interpret documents, such as B.E.O.'s, safety rules, and procedure manuals.
- Bilingualism: Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
