We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Shaner Hotel Group. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities- Food Production: Plan, prepare, and execute menu items and specials in accordance with standards and plating guide specifications.
- Team Leadership: Direct, train, and monitor the performance of kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Food Safety and Quality: Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, adhering to state and local regulations.
- Inventory Management: Effectively manage food and supply inventory to minimize waste and optimize costs.
- Guest Satisfaction: Handle guest complaints and feedback to ensure exceptional customer service.
- Experience: Minimum of three years of experience as a line cook, with prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Communication: Ability to effectively communicate with guests, management, and colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Education: High school graduate or equivalent, with certification of culinary training preferred.
- Certifications: Safe food handling certificate.
- Language: Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
