IT Operations Intern

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented IT Operations Intern to join our team at SMMA. As an IT Operations Intern, you will be responsible for providing end-user support to a staff of around 200 Architects, Engineers, System Planners, and Interior Designers at two office locations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of computer hardware and software applications, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills. In this role, you will be working closely with our IT team to troubleshoot system and network problems, install and configure computer hardware and software, and provide technical support to staff members.
As a Technical Operations Assistant, you will be responsible for managing the "Techteam" support group, prioritizing several open cases at one time, and acting as the first responder in our IT team that supports our Windows Hosted Desktops.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience with industry-standard computer hardware and software applications, as well as to develop your skills in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing end-user support to staff members
- Troubleshooting system and network problems
- Installing and configuring computer hardware and software
- Managing the "Techteam" support group
- Acting as the first responder in our IT team
Requirements:
- Working towards a Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Associate Degree is preferred
- Self-motivation, teamwork, strong communication skills, "can-do" attitude, and the ability to multi-task
