Human Resources Specialist, Department of Athletics, Community and Campus Recreation

Job Summary:
The University of Delaware seeks a Human Resources Specialist to join the Department of Athletics, Community and Campus Recreation. This role will be responsible for managing all Talent Management activities for exempt and non-exempt staff throughout the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Oversees recruitment and onboarding logistics for new and existing positions, search procedures, interview process, and subsequent hiring following UD policies and procedures.
- Payroll and Records Management: Serves as point of contact for DACCR payroll and personnel records questions, investigates issues, and provides resolution to responsible parties.
- HR and Payroll Transactions: Manages HR and payroll transactions, maintains data integrity, and ensures compliance with federal and state employment laws.
- Employee Relations: Provides employee relations support, including delivering training, troubleshooting, and navigating support for multiple UD systems.
- Visa Application Process: Manages the visa application process, collaborating with OISS, and oversees the complex and confidential visa application process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with three years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Professional HR Certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred.
- Ability to work independently, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
