Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Athletic Injury Management Specialist to join our team at Wilmington University. As an Assistant Athletic Trainer, you will play a vital role in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of athletic injuries. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining the health and well-being of our student-athletes, ensuring they can perform at their best.

Key Responsibilities:

Treatment and management of athletic injuries before, during, and after activities.
Evaluation of athletic injuries to provide accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
Provide basic medical education for student-athletes to promote healthy habits and injury prevention.
Set up equipment for practices and games to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
Prevention of injuries and illnesses through proactive measures and education.
Foster an inclusive and diverse environment for all students, faculty, and staff.

Requirements:

A bachelor's degree in a related field of study is required. The candidate must be a Certified Athletic Trainer with excellent communication, customer service, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Must be detail-oriented and able to work with diverse populations. Must be self-directed and able to make decisions independently, as well as work successfully in a team environment. The ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all situations is a must.
