Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop scalable and resilient database solutions utilizing CockroachDB.

  • Formulate a migration strategy that addresses the complexities of legacy systems while leveraging modern distributed technologies.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to devise efficient data migration strategies for transferring large datasets with integrity and security.
  • Act as the technical authority for the migration initiative, providing mentorship to team members.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends in distributed architecture and database solutions.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams, including analysts and developers, to ensure a unified migration approach.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices throughout the migration process.
  • Establish architectural governance to maintain system integrity during and after the migration.
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for post-migration issues.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience with mainframe systems and their migration to distributed platforms.
  • Extensive knowledge of CockroachDB or similar distributed SQL databases.
  • Familiarity with mainframe programming languages and modern programming languages.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms and services.
  • Strong understanding of system integration and data migration methodologies.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing technical projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
