At Lantech, we are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Engineer to join our team. As an electrical systems engineer, you will be responsible for developing new products that add significant value to our customers.

About the Role

This is an in-office position, Monday-Friday 8 hours/day. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience with designing industrial equipment. They will also be proficient in Allen-Bradley Studio5000 and 2D CAD drafting.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develops new products that add significant value to Lantech's customers
  • Interprets customer needs to establish electrical product specifications
  • Designs electrical systems, writes PLC logic, and completes electrical documentation according to internal and industry consensus standards
  • Ensures new products meet functional and non-functional specifications, including safety, performance, cost, reliability, & manufacturability
  • Devises and conducts validation tests to ensure product quality
  • Troubleshoots operational issues and devises short and long-term remedies
  • Applies engineering theory to solve complex problems
  • Learns & applies new skills as projects require
  • Maintains knowledge of new technologies and applies where appropriate
  • Identifies & acts on opportunities for continuous improvement
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of Electrical Engineering experience designing or supporting industrial equipment
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Masters in Electrical Engineering a plus
  • Experience with text-based programming, Siemens TIA Portal, and Allen-Bradley CCW is a plus
