As a key member of our engineering team, you will drive the development of physics-based and algorithmic simulations of lidar behavior and performance across the full operational domain of the Aurora driver.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain advanced simulation models and algorithms for lidar performance and behavior
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate simulation results into the Aurora driver
- Work with optical physicists, electrical engineers, and robotic perception experts to solve multi-disciplinary challenges
- Develop and implement signal processing algorithms for lidar data
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field
- Deep experience in simulation and characterization of optical and/or optoelectronic systems
- Background in radar, lidar, or telecommunications
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field
- Software test/QA and/or HIL test experience
- Deep experience with algorithm development, implementation on FPGAs, and validation
Aurora Innovation offers a competitive salary range of $181,000 - $290,000, as well as an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
