PacifiCorp is seeking a highly skilled professional to join our Power Delivery team as a Senior Transmission and Distribution Planner. This role will be responsible for providing strategic advice and counsel to management and client organizations regarding workforce utilization and delivery of capital and operational maintenance plans.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement workforce optimization strategies to ensure alignment with budget and support overall business goals.
- Manage the workflow, compliance, and reporting of wires conditions corrections from identification to completion.
- Conduct special studies and analyses, develop alternatives, and present recommendations to management to influence decision-making.
- Research, analyze, and develop new strategies, programs, and processes in response to changing internal and external conditions.
- Provide subject matter expertise to wires operations employees on key operations systems and processes.
- Assist in developing financial forecasts and resource requirements for wires districts.
- Track and manage outstanding wires conditions, ensuring timely correction and closure.
- Collaborate with engineering and field management to ensure transmission conditions are designed and corrected efficiently.
- Manage O&M wires budgets and report complex financial and operational performance data in simple terms.
- Audit expense work orders created by field resources.
- Develop and implement cost estimates and resource requirements for construction and maintenance projects.
- Contribute to the development of standardized historical cost databases and application tools.
- Analyze business processes, conduct special studies, and develop recommendations for improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, accounting, or a related field.
- A minimum of three years' experience in an applicable field directly related to position responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of or ability to quickly acquire required engineering specifications and drawings.
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively through oral and written means.
- Proficient with the use of personal computers to gather, analyze, and summarize data.
- Project management and leadership skills.
- Three years of cost estimating experience in the high voltage industry.
- Project Management or Estimating Accreditation.
- Working knowledge of SAP.
- Experience with job cost accounting and variance analysis.
- Understanding of distribution reliability and construction estimating.
