Job Summary

As a Program Manager with AHRC Suffolk, you will play a key role in the overall supervision and management of our Adult Day Services Program. This position requires a working supervisor who can plan, supervise, and participate in the operation of the day programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the recruitment, training, and evaluation of staff.
  • Monitor quality of services and supervision of the program.
  • Participate in program planning reviews for individuals as requested.
  • Ensure the appropriate implementation of goals and staff actions as indicated in Individual Habilitation Plans and Staff Action Plans.
  • Work with program Leads to ensure the appropriate implementation of daily activities.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of program individuals and safeguard their rights.
  • Ensure compliance with OPWDD regulations.
  • Prepare reports and other informational materials as required.
  • Review Medisked billing daily and rectify errors.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Assistant Director regarding significant issues.
  • Provide cafeteria monitoring, bus duty monitoring, and coverage of classrooms.
  • Assist individuals with toileting needs.
  • Assist with transferring or lifting of individuals.
  • Lift and transfer work materials and equipment.
  • Drive an Agency vehicle as required and with specialized training.
  • Transport individuals using own or agency vehicle as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Human Services field and a minimum of one year of experience working with the developmentally disabled OR 5 years experience in an OPWDD setting.
  • Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and emotional intelligence.
  • Valid NYS Drivers License.
