About the role: Cardiovascular Ultrasound Specialist

The Cardiovascular Ultrasound Specialist performs complex cardiac ultrasound examinations according to physician's orders, utilizing a variety of equipment. Objectively identifies the presence or absence of disease utilizing a thorough knowledge of anatomy and physiology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform cardiac ultrasound examinations
  • Assist physicians with invasive echocardiography examinations
  • Modify procedures to meet special circumstances

Requirements:

  • Oregon Sonographer certification
  • National Registered Cardiac Sonographer certification
  • National Advanced Cardiac Sonographer certification
  • National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer certification
  • National Provider BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Noninvasive Cardiovascular Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography
  • Experience performing cardiovascular ultrasound examinations
  • Pediatric echocardiography experience
  • Familiarity with imaging support of advanced heart failure patients
