We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Account Manager to join our team at Applied Industrial Technologies in Madison, AL.

This is an exciting opportunity to build repeat business relationships and open new accounts in the industrial distribution industry.

As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and retaining existing customers, identifying new business opportunities, and introducing new products and services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting sales and service activities to meet sales and profit goals
  • Developing strong ongoing relationships with customers
  • Identifying product applications and introducing new products and services
  • Organizing and conducting training sessions for customers
  • Surveying market and competitive conditions
  • Completing reports regarding itineraries, expenses, sales calls, leads, and other related matters

Requirements include:

  • 1+ year outside sales experience or 2+ years customer service/inside sales experience in industrial distribution or maintenance/tool crib experience
  • Ability to develop new business and build repeat customer relationships
  • Mechanical aptitude, self-starter with a strong desire to succeed, and sense of humor
