Director of Plant Operations

BioTalent is seeking a seasoned facilities management professional to lead our plant operations team. As Director of Plant Operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning of our healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to integrate hospital programming objectives into long-range facilities planning.
  • Manage facilities, equipment, and resources to support hospital growth and new healthcare services.
  • Oversee maintenance of existing property, facilities, equipment, roadways, grounds, and other physical resources.
  • Develop business plans that align with hospital strategic goals.
  • Participate in capital equipment allocation and capital improvements.
  • Lead Life Safety and Environment of Care programs to ensure Joint Commission compliance.
  • Serve as Hospital Safety Officer and chair the Safety Committee.
  • Maintain open communication with senior leadership and department directors.
  • Manage local, state, and EPA reporting requirements.
  • Oversee contracts for natural gas futures and hedges.
  • Coordinate departmental moves and renovations.
  • Maintain accurate records and organize information to support operational efficiency.
  • Foster leadership development and teamwork within the facilities management team.
  • Engage in energy audits and cost containment initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, guidelines, policies, and professional standards.

Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA compliance.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Hospital Administration, or Technical Training preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in facilities management, with a preference for experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of engineering and basic safety in healthcare is a plus.
  • Certification as a Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) or Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) within one year of employment.
