Job Summary

TYLin International is seeking a highly experienced Senior Construction Inspector to join our team in Connecticut. As a Senior Construction Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that all construction work on our road and highway projects is performed in compliance with contract documents, codes, standards, and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspection and Reporting: Conduct daily inspections of construction activities and complete detailed reports in the required format.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all work meets the required standards and specifications, and identify and document any nonconformities.
  • Project Management: Oversee and manage other inspectors, and assist with the creation of meeting agendas and minutes.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Ensure accurate documentation of progress payments, and assist with the creation of contract change orders.
  • Materials Testing: Perform oversight of materials testing, and have knowledge of CTDOT material methods.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure general compliance with CTDOT and other agency standards and specifications, and assist with resident engineering duties.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with residents, business owners, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: Must have a valid NICET certification, and at least 6+ years of experience with construction inspection and daily report writing.
  • Experience: Experience with CTDOT required, and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel required.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Must be familiar with knowledge of CTDOT procedures and protocols, and have reliable transportation.
  • Preferred Qualifications: ACI Certification, Traffic Control Coordinator (TCC), Osha 10 Hours, and applicable CT Department of Transportation Certifications.
