Key Responsibilities:
- Administer physical therapy treatment plans developed by Physical Therapists.
- Provide non-complex active and passive manual therapeutic exercises, modalities, and other interventions to patients.
- Accurately document patient records and submit clinical paperwork on time.
- Attend educational meetings and contribute to department in-services.
- Notify Physical Therapists or Executive Directors of equipment failures, supply issues, staff changes, and other departmental concerns.
- Schedule clients and perform various office tasks.
- Apply infection control and universal precautions in patient care activities.
- Accept clinical assignments consistent with education and competence to care for patients.
- Promote compliance with fiscal intermediaries and third-party payors through education, coaching, and assistance.
Requirements:
- Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an American Physical Therapy Association.
- Current state license to practice Physical Therapy.
- Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
- Proof of current CPR certification.
- Minimum two years experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
- Comprehensive knowledge of geriatric population changes.
- Self-directed, enthusiastic, and accepts constructive feedback.
- Good verbal and written communication and organization skills.
- Professional image and attitude for patients, families, clients, coworkers, and others.
- Maintains clinical competency and meets continuing education requirements.
- Ability to work flexible schedules and travel locally.
- Able to maintain confidentiality.
- Maintains current licensure certifications and meets continuing education requirements.
- Fluent English language skills.
- Good and regular attendance.
