Position Overview

ARC Fabricators is seeking to fill the role of a Metal Fabrication Specialist. We are in search of skilled welders and fabricators who have a passion for custom steel work.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Hourly wage ranging from $20.00 to $25.00 based on experience

Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to provided instructions.
  • Work closely with the plant manager, shop supervisor, clients, drafters, and colleagues to create high-quality products.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in contemporary welding methods and tools.
  • Utilize wire and filler materials for diverse steel fabrication tasks.
  • Employ manual and power tools for finishing processes.
  • Apply knowledge of various machinery, welding techniques, mathematics, and construction materials.
  • Interpret and follow detailed drawings and blueprints.
  • Ensure safety and proper handling of equipment while maintaining cleanliness in the workspace.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned within the role's scope.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • 2 to 3 years of welding experience
  • Experience in metal fabrication, particularly in welding
  • Ability to read and understand safety guidelines, operational instructions, and procedural manuals
  • Proficient in basic arithmetic involving inches and pounds, including whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
  • Capable of using measuring tools and calculators
  • Ability to apply common sense to follow written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to stand during work hours.
  • Frequently required to walk, use hands for handling, and reach with arms; may need to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds consistently.

Work Environment:

  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts, chemicals, and elevated temperatures (appropriate personal protective equipment and safety training will be provided)
  • Work environment typically involves high noise levels
