Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Ability to accurately follow instructions.
- Work closely with the plant manager, shop supervisor, customers, drafters, and colleagues to create high-quality products.
- Expertise in contemporary welding techniques and machinery.
- Utilize wire and filler materials for diverse steel fabrication tasks.
- Employ manual and power tools for finishing processes.
- Apply knowledge of various machinery, welding methods, mathematics, and construction materials.
- Interpret and adhere to detailed drawings and blueprints.
- Execute all job functions safely while following safety protocols and maintaining cleanliness.
- Perform additional tasks as required within the role's scope.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- 2 to 3 years of welding experience.
- Experience in metal fabrication, particularly in welding.
- Capability to read and comprehend safety regulations, operational instructions, and procedural manuals.
- Proficiency in basic math operations involving inches and pounds, including whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to utilize tape measures and calculators effectively.
- Capacity to apply common sense in executing written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to stand during work hours.
- Frequently required to walk, use hands for handling, and reach with arms; may involve stooping, kneeling, or crawling.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds consistently.
Work Environment:
- Exposure to moving mechanical components, chemicals, and elevated temperatures (appropriate personal protective equipment and safety training will be provided).
- Typically loud noise levels in the workplace.
