Avionic Systems Integration and Test Engineer – Lunar Permanence

This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which aims to establish a sustainable presence on the lunar surface. As an Avionic Systems Integration and Test Engineer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our spacecraft.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and scripts for the Vehicle Test Bed (VTB).
  • Conduct formal verification and validation testing, documenting results per program requirements.
  • Support the integration of vehicle hardware, ground support equipment, operator consoles, and analysis tooling.
  • Debug and troubleshoot hardware and software issues in a lab environment.
  • Design, develop, and implement VTB test tools and software to automate testing processes and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate hardware simulation and fault injection solutions with real-time vehicle simulations.

Requirements:

  • B.S. in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, or related technical discipline.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience, including experience integrating and testing vehicle systems.
  • Proficient in standard electronic lab tests and troubleshooting equipment.
  • Ability to thrive in a small, tightly integrated team environment.
  • Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • M.S. degree in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, or related technical discipline.
  • 12+ years of relevant experience, including experience with large-scale verification of avionics on autonomous spaceflight systems.
  • Experience supporting testbeds for spaceflight systems.
