Job Description

AECOM is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Engineer to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. The successful candidate will support Project Managers in the planning, project or task management and supervision of environmental compliance tasks, complex field tasks, including site investigations, drilling oversight, soil and groundwater sample collection, and related work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Field-based task oversight of environmental investigation and remediation projects.
  • Field-based task oversight of environmental compliance sampling activities.
  • Oversee and lead well installation and sampling tasks.
  • Support development of environmental permit applications.
  • Project Management tasks including budgeting, schedule and scope development and tracking.
  • Data management, evaluation and report writing with experience drafting environmental investigation reports.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's in Geology, Engineering, Science or related field.
  • 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • US Citizen.
  • Valid driver's license, subject to a Motor Vehicle Records Check.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 6 years of experience in environmental consulting.
  • PE certification.
  • Project Management experience.
  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training.
  • Knowledge of CA state env. regulations.
  • Ability to write and review complex technical documents.
  • Computer proficient in MS Office, statistical programs and models.
