Job Overview

Position Summary:

We are looking for dedicated and skilled individuals to become part of our team focused on evaluating new software and hardware frameworks for an advanced cyber training environment in partnership with the Joint Cyber community.

Key Responsibilities:

Successful candidates will assist in the formulation and development of hardware/software testing protocols, scenarios, and methodologies that utilize a range of software tools and applications. Responsibilities include conducting unit tests, configuration item assessments, and system-level evaluations, managing automated testing processes, and supporting verification and validation efforts as necessary. You will create comprehensive test plans and documentation for all testing phases undertaken. Collaboration with clients, development teams, and systems engineers is essential to fully grasp system specifications and software execution. Teamwork with Engineers from various technical backgrounds is expected.

Qualifications:


Minimum of 3 years of experience in testing or troubleshooting software, hardware, and training systems.· Proven experience in testing web-based applications in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.· Proficiency in scripting languages (such as Python) or automated testing tools.· Ability to take initiative, engage with team members, and proactively identify and address potential challenges.· Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.


Desirable Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with DevOps automation and orchestration techniques.
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Zephyr.
  • Competence in hardware diagnostics and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux operating systems.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field such as computer engineering, computer science, information technology, systems, or software engineering from an accredited institution. Relevant military or professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience in a Test Engineer role, focusing on evaluating new software frameworks and assisting with software and hardware installations at various locations.
  • Eligibility to obtain a secret clearance is mandatory.

Please be aware that this position requires U.S. Citizenship status with an active SECRET clearance, and the capability to secure a TOP SECRET/SCI security clearance.
