Quality Assurance Engineer Senior

Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to support S&GS. The selected candidate will apply quality principles in various areas, including design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation, program performance, reliability, inventory control, and research and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and customers on quality-related issues to ensure quality standards are in place.
  • Engage in product failure investigations, material review board decisions, and corrective/preventive action.
  • Ensure corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and/or are compliant with requirements.
  • Develop strategies and systems designed to improve internal and/or supplier performance and productivity.
  • Evaluate quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
  • Design and analyze inspection and testing processes, mechanisms, and equipment; conduct product quality tests, perform statistical analysis to assess products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
  • Engage in supplier selection process and maintain certification programs.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a STEM-related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • Considered career or journey level.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication/presentation skills (verbal and written).
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action efforts to address quality issues.
  • Solve problems, analyze, find solutions.
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain a US security clearance.

Desired Skills:

  • STEM degree preferred.
  • Green or Black Belt Certification.
  • ASQ certifications.
  • GD&T experience.
  • SAP experience.
  • AS9102 interpretation and application experience.
  • Root Cause Analysis tools application.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Security Clearance Statement:

This position requires a government security clearance. You must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five-day work week while others may be condensed.
