Key Responsibilities- Lead and Supervise Care Team: Direct and supervise the daily work assignments of Resident Care Assistants, ensuring that residents receive high-quality care.
- Coordinate Care Needs: Collaborate with community providers to coordinate care needs and develop effective case management plans.
- Mentor and Guide: Closely mentor and guide Lead Resident Care Assistants in all aspects of their job, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
- Assess and Document Resident Status: Accurately assess, communicate, and document residents' status, including any significant changes in behavior or health.
- Prevent Elder Abuse and Neglect: Recognize and assist in the prevention of elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation, reporting any concerns to the appropriate authorities.
- Respond to Emergencies: Respond to emergencies and personal emergency response system, knowing when to call for backup.
- Current State License: Current state license as an RN and CPR certification.
- Education and Experience: Graduate of an approved R.N program (per state requirements) and minimum 1 to 2 years of experience working as a nurse, preferably with experience working with the elderly.
