About the Role

Dialysis Clinic, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our team. As a PCT, you will play a vital role in providing top-notch patient care and supporting our mission to prioritize individualized care for patients facing chronic kidney disease.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in infection control, risk management, and patient education activities
  • Guide new patients through a comprehensive 120-day education plan
  • Obtain and record patient vital signs and machine readings during treatment
  • Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Set up and break down dialysis blood systems for treatment
  • Insert and remove patient access needles
  • Monitor patients during dialysis, document changes, and inform the charge nurse of any concerns
  • Calculate patient weight loss to reach dry weight
  • Determine patient care priorities and organize workload accordingly
  • Maintain professional working relationships, observing patient privacy and rights
  • Maintain and track inventory
  • Perform laboratory work
