Your Role and Responsibilities:

As a vital member of the Threat Risk Management (TRM) team, you will collaborate closely with the Cyber Blue Team Manager. In the capacity of Cybersecurity Incident Management Senior Specialist, your primary focus will be on the proactive identification, assessment, and resolution of cybersecurity incidents. As a technical authority, you will lead the investigation and response efforts for cybersecurity events within the organization. Your role as a member of the Cyber Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) will also include acting as Incident Commander during critical incidents, which may require your involvement outside of standard working hours. You will spearhead various initiatives within the Cyber Blue Team and contribute to enhancing team performance and operational processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor, identify, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity incidents, including network and operating system events.
  • Serve as a key resource for junior team members, providing guidance and support.
  • Lead and coordinate significant investigations and incident response efforts.
  • Act as Incident Commander for high-priority incidents.
  • Conduct eDiscovery and other technical assessments as required.
  • Independently manage technical programs and large-scale projects.
  • Mentor and train junior staff members to enhance their skills.
  • Collaborate with management and quality assurance leads to optimize team performance.
  • Work alongside the Cyber Purple Team to develop and refine security measures.
  • Engage with cross-functional partners to conduct thorough investigations and refine incident response strategies.
  • Participate in training sessions, simulations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Occasional travel for conferences and training may be required.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and be available for after-hours support as needed.
  • Promote security awareness and initiatives throughout DTCC.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of forensic data analysis.
  • Ability to mentor team members in interpreting various security logs and data.
  • Proven experience in leading technical projects and managing complex incidents involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in guiding teams through technical challenges.
  • Proficient in producing detailed reports with analysis and actionable recommendations.
  • Capable of communicating complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Expertise in specific technologies or security domains, with hands-on experience in modern security tools and processes.
  • Ability to translate high-level requirements into actionable plans independently.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
