Job Summary

HD Supply is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Operations Manager to lead the success of assigned functions within a complex distribution center environment. The ideal candidate will develop strategies and objectives for maximizing productivity and leveraging expenses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Excellence: Lead operational excellence in all warehouse areas, including operations of warehouse management system(s) and related equipment.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure inventory is received efficiently and is safely processed in the warehouse.
  • Facilities Management: Administer proper layout of warehouse and product placement as well as maintenance and organization of all warehouse areas.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Manage all aspects of the facility related to repair, maintenance, and installation of equipment to ensure continuous operations.
  • Contractor Management: Source and review contractor bids for repairs, select contractors, and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Review maintenance, production, and quality control reports along with statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities.
  • Safety and Security: Maintain a culture of safety throughout the organization by following safety policies and procedures, monitoring DC safety, physical security, and inspecting equipment and facilities for compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Training and Development: Coach, train, and develop team members through training programs, provide job performance-based feedback, and ensure technical certifications are achieved and sustained.
Requirements
  • Education: Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
  • Experience: Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field, may require certification.
  • Travel: Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
