Job Title

An Inventory Planning Specialist is required to ensure product availability while optimizing inventory costs at DeLaval. This role plays a crucial part in the company's mission to deliver Total Customer Experience.

About the Role

This position involves managing purchase orders, communicating with suppliers, and analyzing inventory reports to identify areas for improvement. As an Inventory Planning Specialist, you will contribute directly to the company's success by ensuring timely deliveries and optimal stock levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain MRP parameters based on market intelligence and historical usage.
  • Set optimal stock levels to balance availability with inventory costs.
  • Create and manage purchase orders with suppliers based on demand forecasts.
  • Communicate with suppliers to review lead-times and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Analyze inventory reports to address shortages, slow movers, and obsolescence.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, production, logistics, and sourcing teams.
Required Skills and Competencies
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in an inventory planning role.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Experience in production planning and SAP is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to understand the big picture.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and perform under deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with excellent teamwork and conflict resolution skills.
Estimated Salary

$65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
