We are seeking a skilled Locksmith to join our Facilities Management team at the University of California, Irvine. Key Responsibilities
  • Cut keys by duplication, code, and impression, using hand and machine tools.
  • Rekey and repair various types of locking systems on the UCI and UCIMC campuses.
  • Make up and interpret complex master key systems.
  • Install, repair, and adjust hydraulic door controls, fire exit devices, and other security hardware.
  • Effectively communicate with faculty and staff members regarding the planning, performance, and completion of assigned duties.
Requirements
  • Installation, repair, and adjustment of hydraulic door controls.
  • Installation, repair, and adjustment of various fire exit devices.
  • Rekey and repair various types of locking systems on the UCI and UCIMC campuses.
  • Make up and interpret complex master key systems.
  • Cut keys by duplication, code, and impression, using hand and machine tools.
  • Operate a key duplicator.
  • Operate various code machines to produce first keys to factory specifications.
  • Effectively communicate with various faculty and staff members in regards to the planning, performance, and completion of assigned duties.
  • Operate a personal computer.
  • Operate power tools.
  • Low voltage theory.
