Job Description / Essential Elements:

Under the supervision of the assigned supervisor, the successful candidate will lead and perform journey-level locksmith work on facilities and equipment, installing and repairing all types of locks and door hardware, and master keying. The ideal candidate will have any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and completion of an approved apprenticeship program in the locksmith trade, along with six years of increasingly responsible journey-level experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of locks or in more than one of the building maintenance or construction trades utilized by the district.

Applicants must meet the educational and experience levels, as well as any license requirements listed for this position. A resume and at least two references are required for a complete application.

Comments and Other Information:

IUSD offers a comprehensive health benefits program for employees who work 30 hours or more per week. The district pays most of the cost of medical and dental insurance for all eligible employees. Newly hired employees can begin at Step 1, 2, or 3 on the salary schedule.
