Job Summary

The Clinical Nurse is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients and their families. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care, while also supporting the mission and values of WakeMed.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and Plan Care - Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical, psychological, and socioeconomic needs to develop individualized care plans
  • Implement and Evaluate Care - Deliver evidence-based care, monitor patient progress, and make adjustments as needed to ensure optimal outcomes
  • Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams - Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and achieve shared goals
  • Provide Education and Support - Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies to promote informed decision-making and empowerment

Requirements

  • Education - Diploma in Nursing or Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
  • Licensure - Registered Nurse licensure required
  • Experience - 2 years of nursing experience or equivalent required; experience in a similar role or setting preferred
