Job Overview

Dietz Property Group is seeking a dedicated full-time Community Director to oversee one of our multifamily residential properties.

POSITION SUMMARY:

As the Community Director at Dietz Property Group, you will be responsible for leading a team to deliver exceptional customer service and effective property management, aiming to create an appealing living environment that enhances property performance. Your daily responsibilities will include mentoring staff, conducting apartment tours for prospective residents, managing rent collection, and addressing resident inquiries professionally.

Collaboration with your Maintenance Supervisor and communication with vendors and contractors will be essential to maintain strong resident relations through community events. Each day will present new challenges, ensuring that your role remains dynamic and engaging. You will take pride in being a key representative of our property management firm.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Evaluate, supervise, and support staff to ensure all tasks are completed effectively.
  • Conduct regular property inspections and ensure timely follow-up on maintenance tasks.
  • Deliver high-quality service to residents.
  • Monitor the financial health of the property to meet budgetary goals.
  • Initiate and manage marketing strategies to achieve owner objectives.
  • Oversee maintenance operations to guarantee timely and quality service.
  • Adhere to company protocols for documenting and reporting property activities.
  • Foster a collaborative atmosphere among the workforce.
  • Assist in organizing and executing on-site community events.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: These responsibilities are crucial to the role and may vary based on specific site needs.

FISCAL MANAGEMENT: Responsible for maintaining the annual operating budget.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Strong communication skills are essential for developing on-site staff, ensuring resident satisfaction, and coordinating the efforts of employees and vendors. The ability to analyze financial data and make informed decisions is crucial, as is the capacity to delegate tasks effectively.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The role involves regular communication, standing, sitting, and walking. The ability to lift and/or move items up to 20 pounds is required, along with driving a vehicle.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Overseeing on-site employees and contractors.

TECHNICAL SKILLS: Proficiency in software such as Real Page, MRI (tenant accounts), and Microsoft Office 365 is necessary.

WORK SCHEDULE: This is a full-time position with hours that may vary based on property needs, typically Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 6 PM.
