Position Overview

Dietz Property Group is seeking a dedicated full-time Community Director to oversee one of our multifamily residential properties.

ROLE SUMMARY:

As the Community Director, you will be responsible for leading a team to deliver exceptional customer service and effective property management, aiming to create an attractive living environment that enhances the property's overall performance. Your daily responsibilities will include mentoring staff, conducting property tours for prospective residents, managing rent collection, and addressing resident inquiries professionally.

You will collaborate closely with your Maintenance Supervisor and engage with vendors and contractors to maintain strong resident relations through community events. Each day will present new challenges, ensuring that your role remains dynamic and fulfilling. You will take pride in being a vital part of our property management success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Evaluate, oversee, and support staff to ensure all tasks are completed effectively.
  • Conduct regular property inspections and ensure timely follow-up on maintenance tasks.
  • Deliver high-quality service to residents.
  • Monitor the property's financial health to meet budgetary goals.
  • Initiate and manage marketing strategies to achieve the owner's objectives.
  • Supervise maintenance operations to guarantee timely and quality service.
  • Adhere to company protocols for documenting and reporting property activities.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Assist in organizing and executing on-site community events.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: These functions may vary based on specific site requirements.

FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY: Responsible for maintaining the annual operating budget.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Strong communication skills are essential for developing on-site personnel, ensuring resident satisfaction, and coordinating staff and vendor activities. The ability to analyze financial data, make informed decisions, and solve problems is crucial. You should also be adept at delegating tasks and ensuring their completion.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The role involves regular communication, standing, sitting, and walking. The ability to lift and move items up to 20 pounds is necessary, along with driving a vehicle as required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee on-site staff and contractors.

TECHNICAL SKILLS: Proficiency in using computers, modems, fax machines, adding machines, and copiers is required.

SOFTWARE PROFICIENCY: Familiarity with Real Page, MRI (tenant accounts), and Microsoft Office 365 is preferred.
