Job Title: VP of Corporate Accounting

NexCore Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced VP of Corporate Accounting to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing and directing the Corporate Accounting functions of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and manage the monthly Corporate consolidated financial closing deadlines, including the roll-up of consolidated assets, portfolios, real estate funds, and operating subsidiaries.
  • Prepare and review the quarterly corporate financial review package for internal review, including financial statements, flux analysis, debt compliance, and upcoming events.
  • Manage the annual audit process, including preparing for interim, audit field work, preparing and reviewing workpapers, and other diligence materials.
  • Ensure proper cross-training, policies, procedures, and strong overall internal controls.
  • Strategically manage treasury and cash management with financial institutions on behalf of the Company and its capital partners.
  • Manage line of credit draws and repayments for the Company and its funds as part of overall cash management.
  • Work with the Finance department to update financial and cash forecasting models with monthly actuals.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of the Company's internal financial presentation, which is used to measure the Company's annual performance.
  • Serve as point of contact for the Company's transfer agent and maintain and track changes on unit holder registrar.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in corporate real estate, development, or property accounting.
  • 4+ years of experience in management.
  • 4+ years of experience in detailed development accounting.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and related products.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with MRI and Yardi.
Benefits:
  • $140,000 - $180,000 per year.
