Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Behavioral Intervention Assistant to join our team at Highlands High School. The successful candidate will provide intensive behavioral intervention therapy and tutoring to students in a school, home, or other setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers, therapists, and counselors with the administration of one-on-one intensive behavioral intervention therapy and tutoring.
  • Perform a variety of activities in support of special instructional programs, including special education, interagency, and District-wide subject matter.
  • Work collaboratively with students, teachers, and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent, 48 college credit units that are degree eligible, plus one year of experience working within a classroom environment containing students with special needs.
  • Alternatively, a high school diploma, passing of a competency exam, and three years of classroom experience.
  • A valid driver's license, completion of ABA/DTT training, and a valid first aid card may be required.
