Music Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Music Therapist to join our team at Nationwide Children's Hospital. As a Music Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing evidence-based music therapy interventions to children experiencing behavioral/mental health concerns and their families.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement music therapy interventions that address the psychosocial, developmental, and physiological needs of children and their families.
- Assess patients to identify their unique needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Provide a variety of music interventions that promote coping, skill development, and self-expression.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.
- Coordinate and supervise students during field work/internship experiences.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in music therapy.
- Bachelor's degree in music therapy required; Master's degree preferred.
- Board certification from The Certification Board for Music Therapists (MT-BC) and Ohio state licensure - Licensed Professional Music Therapist (LPMT) required.
- Membership in related professional organizations preferred.

Work EnvironmentThis role requires working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent interactions with patients, families, and healthcare teams. The Music Therapist will be required to use their skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care in a variety of settings, including inpatient and outpatient units.
