ABA Music Therapist

We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic Music Therapist to join our team at LittleStar ABA Therapy. As a Music Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing music therapy services to families on the Medicaid Waiver and private pay music therapy services in surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct music therapy assessments to determine appropriate goals for clients.
- Create and implement approved treatment plans based on music therapy assessments.
- Track data per session and report progress on quarterly reports submitted to the treatment team.
- Implement appropriate responses to high-risk areas as outlined in each individual's high-risk plan.
- Complete and submit client billing as directed and in a timely manner.
- Communicate with clients' families regarding services.
- Communicate with the Waiver Services Director regarding all developments, problems, or concerns as needed and requests feedback.
- Attend and participate in team meetings for clients on caseload.
- Hold a minimum bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in music therapy.
- Hold MT-BC certification designated by the Certification Board of Music Therapists.
- Must possess or be able to obtain CPR and First aid certification annually and perform as necessary.
- Possess and maintain a clear criminal record per Medicaid Waiver regulation requirements.
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
- A positive team player and energetic professional.
- Strong organizational and time management skills along with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Good judgment and creative thinking skills.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
This position will work in a professional office setting. Sessions will also occur in the client's home or community-based facilities.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk, climb stairs, use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

TravelTherapist will not transport clients; however, will travel to the locations of each session (client's home or community-based facilities) not to exceed 30 miles.
