We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development professional to join our team at Paul Barker Agency. As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for marketing, prospecting, and selling American Family Insurance products in all product lines.
Key Responsibilities- Develop knowledge of the local market dynamics for business development opportunities for all product lines
- Help the Agency grow by using consultative selling techniques to sell insurance products to new customers
- Proactively cross-sell and or coordinate with agency team members to provide additional coverage to existing customers
- Prospect for new business through leads, telephone calls, networking events, trade shows, and personal contacts
- Secure new business through individual effort and established lead methods
- Prepare quotations and applications and deliver effective presentations in order to close sales
- Must obtain Property & Casualty license within 60 days of employment
- Ability to work independently to plan, set priorities and organize work
- Active involvement in the local community
- Demonstrated sales and customer service experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Comfortable multitasking tasks and clients successfully
- Experience using a wide range of digital devices such as smartphones, tablets, and laptop computers
- Spanish bilingual preferred but not required
