Cyber Security Administrator

The Cybersecurity Administrator is responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our network and systems. This includes installing, administering, and troubleshooting security solutions to prevent unauthorized access, modification, and other malicious threats.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, build, maintain, and test security systems and monitor their effectiveness
  • Constantly strive to find vulnerabilities in hardware, software, and applications
  • Plan and develop security and recovery plans for the company's IT infrastructure
  • Introduce upgrades and replacements as and when needed by the business
  • Appropriately respond to security breaches, investigate how they occurred, and research how they can be prevented
  • Work alongside associated stakeholders to ensure optimum security levels are in place at all times
  • Report to members of senior management on potential threats, proposed improvements, and ongoing security issues
  • Update servers with the latest security patches and ensure that the proper defenses are present for each network resource
  • Perform vulnerability and penetration tests
  • Identify and defend against threats and develop disaster recovery plans
  • Develop and monitor policies for the use of network resources
  • Monitor network traffic and logs for suspicious behavior

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or cyber security or comparable work experience
  • Minimum of two to five years' relevant information technology experience
  • Proficient knowledge of networking concepts and computing infrastructures
  • Proven network operations and network performance analysis skills
  • Hands-on technical troubleshooting capabilities
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
  • Familiarity with server management and monitoring tools
  • Experience in Crowdstrike, Azure Sentinel, Conditional Access Policies, patch management Azure/Entra Administration required
  • MCSE and MCSA, ZScaler, Citrix Preferred
  • Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Works well in a team setting through constant collaboration and communication
  • Ability to meet daily deadlines and perform tasks in a timely manner
  • Maintains a positive attitude
  • Ability to simultaneously handle multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and exercise good judgment
