Job SummaryThe Terminal Lead is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and management of our Bridgeport and Bronx asphalt terminals. This individual will plan, direct, and coordinate the work activities and resources necessary for safely producing high-quality products. This position will work closely with and report to the Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities- Foster a safety culture by engaging employees, adhering to company and federal safety policies, and aiming for zero incidents.
- Provide leadership and resources for efficient plant operations, including coordinating production scheduling, managing raw materials procurement, and ensuring effective operation of liquid asphalt terminals and equipment.
- Develop and implement work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet objectives.
- Keep accurate records of inventory, inspections, and financials.
- Communicate with customers to provide added value in quality, service, production, and scheduling.
- Schedule and lead preventative maintenance, assess the life cycle of plant components, and manage winter maintenance operations to reduce downtime.
- Identify and address regulatory, safety, personnel, and production problems promptly and effectively.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual with a strong background in liquid asphalt terminal operations and management. The ideal candidate will have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of experience in liquid asphalt terminal operations and management.
- Demonstrated high ethical standards and a dedicated commitment to safety.
- Strong mechanical knowledge.
- Proven dependability, organization, problem-solving, and adaptability skills.
- High degree of accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to details.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication skills, proficient verbal, and written English.
- A valid driver's license.
- The legal right to work in the USA.
This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to varying weather conditions. The employee will be required to sit, stand, walk, climb, reach, and bend for brief periods of time.
