About the Role

GREAT OAKS CHARTER SCHOOL - BRIDGEPORT INC. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations and Facilities Manager to join our team. As a key member of our school community, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our 120,000 square foot facility, while also supporting the educational mission and goals of our school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Management: Oversee the upkeep, maintenance, and cleaning of the school building and grounds, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.
  • Operations Management: Manage the day-to-day school operations, ensuring that all safety systems and processes run efficiently to support a safe and effective learning environment.
  • Budget and Vendor Management: Manage the facilities and operations budget, ensuring that expenses are tracked and within budgetary limits.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management, operations management, or a related role, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of commercial building maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general repairs. Experience managing large-scale facilities of at least 100,000 square feet. Proven experience overseeing maintenance and custodial staff, with the ability to motivate and manage teams.
What We Offer
  • Competitive Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 Based on Experience.
