Surgical Technologist Job Description

Nurses First Solutions is seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team for a travel job in Spokane, Washington.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Surgical Technologist to assist our surgical team in providing high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare the operating room for surgery by ensuring all necessary equipment, supplies, and instruments are available and in good working condition.
  • Assist the surgical team by passing instruments, sponges, and other items needed during surgery.
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and adjust instruments and equipment accordingly.
  • Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room by following strict infection control procedures.
  • Transport patients to and from the operating room and position them on the operating table.
  • Assist with the preparation and application of sterile dressings and bandages.
  • Document procedures and maintain accurate records of supplies and equipment used.
  • Clean and sterilize instruments and equipment after surgery.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a sterile environment.
