About the Role

Baystate Health, a renowned leader in healthcare quality and safety, is seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team at the MassMutual 5 - Heart & Vascular Interventional Unit. This full-time position offers an excellent compensation package, with a salary range of $45,000-$60,000 annually.

Responsibilities
  1. Assist Registered Nurses (RNs) in coordinating daily activities and performing various technical tasks and bedside functions.
  2. Provide age-appropriate care to patients, including hygiene, skin care, mobility, and monitoring.
  3. Administer treatments and procedures per Baystate Medical Center policy/procedure.
  4. Assist patients with elimination of body wastes, making available or offering bedpans, urinals, and emesis basins as needed.
  5. Perform Point of Care (POC) Testing and assist in delivering ancillary services as directed.
Requirements
  • At least one year of patient care experience, which can vary in level of long-term care, specialty, acute care, etc.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant Certification preferred.
  • Able to maintain professional composure in medium to high-stress situations, effective communication skills, and proficient in reading and writing in English.
