About the JobWe are seeking a skilled Renal Care Professional to join our team as a Dialysis Nurse. As a member of our hemodialysis healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing safe and effective dialysis therapy for assigned patients under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.
Your primary duties will include:
- Performing all technical aspects of dialysis procedures for assigned patients as prescribed.
- Monitoring and documenting dialysis treatment parameters on dialysis flow sheets.
- Administering and monitoring treatments in accordance with current treatment plans or as directed by the supervisor.
You will also have the opportunity to assist in developing and following teaching plans to educate patients and families regarding end-stage renal disease, dialysis therapy, diet, and medications.
In addition, you will participate in staff meetings, acquire knowledge in current practice related to dialysis principles and technique, and act as a resource person for other staff members.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you must possess:
- A graduate degree from an accredited School of Practical Nursing (LPN, LVN).
- Current appropriate State licensure.
- One year of medical-surgical nursing experience preferred.
- Hemodialysis experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to provide coverage at area facilities during times of short-staffing or as required.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
