Job Title: Clinical Educator RN

Job Summary:

The Clinical Educator RN will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs for nursing staff, with a focus on improving patient outcomes and advancing nursing practice. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and innovative educator to make a meaningful impact on the delivery of care at our hospital.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement educational programs for nursing staff, including orientation, continuing education, and in-services.
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership and staff to assess, plan, develop, implement, and evaluate educational programs.
  • Design and deliver educational content that meets the needs of nursing staff, including clinical skills, patient care, and professional development.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Provide guidance and support to nursing staff on clinical skills, patient care, and professional development.
  • Stay current with regulatory requirements and industry best practices, and ensure that educational programs meet these standards.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Nursing or Bachelor's degree in Nursing with current enrollment in a Master's in Nursing program.
  • Current, unencumbered licensure to practice in the State of California.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in teaching adult learners.
  • Minimum of 5 years recent clinical experience in the specialty for which the applicant desires to become educator.
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office products.
  • Exceptional relationship management skills and professional demeanor.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MSN-Education.
  • Previous experience as an educator or clinical instructor.
  • Open Heart/Cardiovascular ICU/Cardiothoracic ICU experience (within the past 5 years).
  • Previous experience in Level I or II Trauma Center and Primary/Comprehensive Stroke Center.
  • Previous experience with shared governance models.
  • Certification in specialty (e.g., CCRN, CEN, CMSRN, CNOR, etc.) nursing education (CNE), or nursing professional development (NPD-BC).
Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position, working days, with occasional pressure due to calls, classes, and projects.

Pay range: $60.44 - $92.85 hourly.

Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors, including an individual's qualifications and experience.
